The FRESH Campaign
Launched in the summer of 2019, the Fresh Campaign aimed to address the updated Canadian Food Guidelines. The goal of the campaign is to provide a more balanced diet for our clients, with an emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables. Beginning with 2 corporate gardens at Medtronic and Cummins in Pointe-Claire, our fresh campaign now oversees 7 vegetable gardens throughout the West Island.
The Solidarity Gardens Project started as a food insecurity awareness initiative. Since its inception in 2020, the project has been growing consistently throughout the West Island Community. Together we have been able to provide over 750 families with fresh produce. All these gardens are now owned by the West Island Mission.

Grow-a-Row
This event was held in May of 2020 & 2021. Each individual who partook was given seedlings to plant at home, they then donated part of their harvest back to the West Island Mission to help bring awareness to food insecurity in our very own community.
Local Farmers
The West Island Mission is lucky to have the support of countless local farmers, who generously donate their harvest surplus each year.
